Tom and Susan Doell have been restoring the Hilda Lutheran Church located on their ranch. They want to put the steeple back on the church building. The cross that went on top of the steeple is displayed at the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Mason.
They could measure it and create a replica. However, they do not have a picture of the church with its steeple. They have asked everyone in Hilda and no one has found a picture.
They spoke to Jan Appleby, and they went through the Mason County Historical Commission's photos with Jane Hoerster, all to no avail.
