Veterans’ Bodies Left to Decompose in VA Hospital Morgue

After 40 vets died while languishing on a secret waiting list at the Phoenix VA hospital, Obama proclaimed that he took the issue of VA mismanagement “very seriously.” He even barked, “I will not stand for it. There must be consequences.” The problem ought to be right up his alley, considering that it involves Big Government providing healthcare. Two years have passed; the Moonbat Messiah should have it all fixed by now. Just to make sure, let’s check in on the state that launched his political career:
An Illinois Veterans Affairs hospital already under fire for excessive wait times, festering black mold and kitchen cockroaches [repeatedly served in food] faces a new shame – the bodies of dead patients left unclaimed in the morgue for up to two months without proper burial, whistleblower documents allege.
The whistleblower, whose identity is not being revealed for fear of retaliation, complained last month to the VA’s inspector general about the Edward Hines Jr. VA Hospital’s handling of veterans’ remains in cases where families have not come forward to claim the body. The complaint singled out Christopher Wirtjes, chief of Patient Administrative Services, saying “The Chief of PAS has the funds available, yet has no sense of urgency to lay the veteran to rest.”
Of course the funds are available; the Obama Administration has been setting new records for revenue. If giving money to bureaucrats solved problems, we would have heaven on earth by now.
On at least one occasion, a body had liquefied and the bag burst when staff had attempted to move it, said Alissa McCurley, [Senator Mark] Kirk’s deputy chief of staff.

Muslim Migrant On Trial For Beating, Robbing And Drowning Praying Christians

A Muslim migrant in Spain has gone on trial, accused of murdering with a “religious motivation” six Christian refugees, including a pastor, on a voyage across the Mediterranean from Africa to Europe.

The Cameroonian captain of the boat is thought to have beaten the Christians with a wooden plank before forcing them overbored, condemning them to certain death, because they were saying catholic prayers.

The Nigerian pastor was subjected to horrific abuse before he drowned, the public prosecutor wrote before the start of the trial in Almería, south-eastern Spain.

“They badly wounded him before throwing him overboard”, the prosecutor said, according to the Telegraph.

The Muslims are even thought to have humiliated the Christians migrants, stealing their money and attempting to strip them of all Christian iconography and symbols.

Pipe Bomb explodes along military 5K route in Seaside NJ

SEASIDE PARK — An explosive device went off in a garbage pail Saturday morning along the route of a 5K run and walk to benefit military soldiers.

Multiple devices were also found "wired together" in the same garbage pail, but they did not detonate, according to Al Della Fave, spokesman for the Ocean County Prosecutor's Office.

The explosion occurred along the route of the Seaside Semper Five Marine Corps Charity 5K at around 9:30 a.m.

The device is being described as a "pipe bomb-style device" based on a preliminary investigation by officials from the New Jersey State Police Bomb Squad, Della Fave said.

One Big Happy Nation Ruled by the Smartest People in the World

Recently in East Liverpool, Ohio, a couple of drug addicts, with their four-year-old son stuck helplessly in the back seat, nodded out at a traffic stop and had to be removed by police. Take a good look at the picture in the news item. It tells us where the Western world is headed and how fast it’s getting there.

Euro-socialism and its American imitation provide all sorts of safety nets to abate the consequences of making a pig’s breakfast of your life. In fact, they help you keep on doing it. So the addicts will get free care and then be turned loose to take more drugs.

Meanwhile, it’s higher education to the rescue! There’s no earthly problem that can’t be solved by the repeated application of unfiltered idiocy. With that in mind, Eastern Kentucky State University now offers a degree in Social Justice, designed to prepare students for wonderful careers as community organizers and activists. Now you can’t even be a prattling public nuisance without a college degree.

What’s it all about, Alfie?

Why, haven’t you heard? We’ve entered the world’s post-Christian age. No more Jesus Christ the Savior, no more God the Father. Instead, our salvation is to come from Big Government, Big Science, Real Big Education—oh, and Hollywood. They will do what God could never do. Just watch ‘em.

And you’d better get used to it, or else. No one will be allowed to diverge from diversity. Get with the program. Get with transgenderism, same-sex pseudomarriage, auctioning off the parts of aborted babies, and—this is really big—erasing all those pesky national borders so it can all be one big, happy nation ruled by the smartest people in the world.

When they’re not busy nodding out at intersections.

No, but no—those poor druggies aren’t the smartest people in the world! They’re just the flotsam and jetsam of this post-Christian age. They’re just the eggs that get broken to whip up the omelet of an earthly paradise. So ignore them, and ignore those imported mobs of Muslim males of military age and truculent attitude. Ignore it all: what’s a little crime wave, here and there?

Instead, look up to the sky, and praise our best and brightest as their private jets zoom off to Davos, where these incredibly smart people will dream up even more incredibly smart ideas to make our world a better place. Hey! If they weren’t doing it right, they wouldn’t have so many celebrities rooting for them, would they?

NDSU Bison Defeat Iowa (13) at Iowa

September 17, 2016 04:17 PM

Cam Pedersen kicked a 37-yard field as time expired and North Dakota State pulled off a 23-21 upset of No. 13 Iowa on Saturday for its sixth straight win over an FBS opponent.

The Bison went for a 2-point conversion down 21-20 with 3:41 left, but couldn't punch it in. North Dakota State's defense then held, and quarterback Easton Stick's 29-yard run put the Bison in position for the biggest win in school history.

The loss was just the fourth by a ranked FBS team to an FCS school. North Dakota State isn't just another Football Championship Subdivision team, though. The Bison have won the last five FCS national titles.

Against the Hawkeyes, they ran for 239 yards and held Iowa to 231 total yards.

"Am I shocked that we lost? Yeah, to an extent. But these guys came ready to play," Iowa defensive tackle Jaleel Johnson said.

Stick had 124 yards passing and a touchdown for the Bison (3-0), who also snapped Iowa's nine-game home winning streak.

C.J. Beathard had three TD passes for Iowa (2-1). But the Hawkeyes ran for just 34 yards on 25 carries.

"I thought we'd be able to run the ball a little bit better just because that's what we do," Beathard said.

Iowa: The Hawkeyes can forget about the playoffs. Barring something extraordinary, it's tough to imagine the committee letting in a team that lost to an FCS school - even one as talented as North Dakota State.

North Dakota State: North Dakota State is FCS is name only. The Bison's blocking at every position was exactly how coaches draw it up, and they didn't commit a penalty in the first half. North Dakota State might not lose again all season - and a sixth straight FCS title is a distinct possibility.

North Dakota State continued its incredible streak of beating teams from college football’s top division when it downed 13th-ranked Iowa 23-21 thanks to a last-second field goal.

The Bison had attempted to win with a two-point conversion minutes before, but failed. It’s the first time NDSU has beaten a ranked team in the school’s history; it’s Iowa’s first-ever loss to an FCS team.

The last FBS team to topple NDSU was Iowa State, way back in 2009. The Bison have now beaten six FBS teams in a row.

The Decline and Fall of the Catholic West

by Emmet Scott

Recent events have forcefully highlighted, to all but the most willfully ignorant, that Western Civilization is — especially in Europe — in the midst of an existential crisis. The tides of humanity now pouring into Europe from the Middle East, southern Asia and northern as well as sub-Saharan Africa, will, if the process continues even for another year or so, make the continent virtually unrecognizable in a generation. North America is undergoing its own “Third World” invasion, but, since most of its immigrants derive from Latin America, the situation there is different. Latin Americans are, ultimately, not too different from North Americans culturally. The immigration to Europe, however, is coming overwhelmingly from Sunni Islam, and that makes it an entirely different ball game. We are witnessing nothing less than the birth of the long-predicted Eurabia.

The possibility, even likelihood, that Europe would eventually cease to be “European” has been understood for at least half a century, ever since the commencement of large scale Third World immigration in the 1960s and ‘70s — initially into France and Britain and later into virtually all western European states. Now, whilst it is true that the ruling elites have encouraged this process for economic and ideological reasons, it is also true that a primary cause of the influx has been the massive decline in Europe’s birth rate since the 1970s.

The drop in European (and American) birth rates is a complex and controversial topic and may well have more than a single cause. Nonetheless, one thing is very clear: the process has coincided almost precisely with an unprecedented and rapid abandonment of the Catholic faith amongst the Catholic populations of Europe and America, an abandonment which commenced with the implementation of the reforms of the Second Vatican Council, from 1965 onwards.

US Navy P-8 ntercepted over Black Sea

WASHINGTON/BERLIN (Reuters) - A Russian fighter jet carried out an "unsafe and unprofessional" intercept of a U.S. spy plane flying a regular patrol over the Black Sea, coming within 10 feet (3.05 meters) of the American aircraft, two U.S. defense officials told Reuters on Wednesday.

The incident comes at a time of increased tensions between the United States and Russia, who are on opposing sides of the Syrian civil war.

One official, speaking on the condition of anonymity, said the incident lasted about 19 minutes and the Russian Sukhoi Su-27 fighter came within 10 feet of the U.S. Navy P-8 surveillance plane.

"They're up there for 12 hours and there are lots of interactions. But only one of the incidents was what the pilot determined was unsafe," said another official, who was not authorized to speak publicly.
